BIOGRAPHY
Where Image Meets Imagination… Transforming Photography into Fine Art
Shara Abel transports her viewers on infinite journeys through space and time with her thought-provoking photographic art creations.
Carefully crafting together multiple layers of her own original photos through a detailed process of dismantling, editing & reconstructing, Shara creates unique new pieces, which then tell stories of their own.  This allows her to create an experience for her viewers beyond traditional photography.
After winning her first photography contest in 2009, Shara started her photographic journey exploring traditional types of photography.  Continually feeling an intense desire to create something more than the image before her she did extensive experimentation with her camera and post processing.  In 2017 Shara discovered how to create “visual magic” using composites, and her fire was lit!
In 2019 Shara completed the New York Institute of Photography program and continues to learn by persistent study and experimentation. She is very grateful to the artists and photographers who have shared their knowledge along the way.

In 2022 Shara earned her photographic judging certificate from the Florida Camera Club Council.

Shara's work has been well received and won many awards.  Appearing in multiple exhibits at museums and galleries, her work has also been used commercially and appears in private domestic, as well as international collections.
