BIOGRAPHY
Orlando artist Maria Barry likes to look on the “brighter side of life”, which is evident in her delicate yet dazzling watercolor paintings. Born and raised in England, Maria exhibited an artistic flair from an early age but was discouraged by her parents to pursue her passion in favor of getting a ‘proper’ job. Having travelled extensively, Maria spent 8 of her happiest years working in and around the Greek Islands for an International Tour Operator. She represented that same company as Training Officer, when she returned to England, teaching others the same skills she had mastered overseas, spending 6 months in the UK and 6 months overseas, affording her the travel she had come to love. Maria took on a more permanent role as Senior Sales and Marketing Director when she moved to Florida, and continued to work in the International travel industry. Years later she was to fulfill her passion and combine her artistic skills with her love for travel. Maria is now a full time artist and uses her natural talent to teach classes to those she continues to inspire. Maria also has permanent exhibits in many of the Central Florida attractions including Universal Studios and Gatorland, and Café Tu Tu Tango where she also paints live weekly. She teaches on ‘sea days’ on cruise ships that go to exotic places, each year, and is truly living her dream. |
