Meet June Knowles
June Knowles aka JuneBug Art. I am a true Florida native, I currently live in central Florida with my husband and the boss lady, our mini Australian Shepard Bella.
I have always loved being creative and I have been making jewelry for more than 30 years. When I retired from 40 years in the accounting field in 2015, I built an art studio in my back yard and now happily spend my days playing and exploring various mediums. I became interested in art glass and for several years focused on the manipulation of multiple layers of glass into vessels and home decor items using a kiln. My interest eventually returned to my first love of jewelry making and then I discovered lampworking which allows me to combine art glass and my passion for creating jewelry. Lampworking is the process of making glass beads using a torch and colorful rods of sparkling glass. One by one the beads take shape in the flame and are then annealed for hours in a kiln to ensure strength and durability. Each bead is a tiny work of art that I use in my jewelry, made with love for you, to be worn and enjoyed every day.
