BIOGRAPHY
This Florida lady started off majoring in computer science and has worked at Disney for 35 years in the Technology Division. But in the evenings, looking at another computer screen was far from her mind. Elizabeth has always been a jack of many trades in the craft area. She has dabbled for years, from cross-stitch to wood carving to macrame, searching for a medium that called to her. In 1991 Elizabeth discovered Paper Sculpture, a process of cutting and bending paper pieces into 3-Dimensional shapes. She went on to be featured in galleries in California, including Disneyland. In 2015 Elizabeth soon craved to explore a new and different craft medium, leathercraft. The tooling and uses of leather intrigued her. After retiring from the Mouse, she has set up a workshop to expand her knowledge of leatherworking. Elizabeth is currently pushing her limits with leathercraft by: - Water Color Painting on leather with a unique paint that will not fade or wash off. - 3-D printing bezels that can be sewn into leather and hold large stones - Pyrography (wood burning) directly into the leather Elizabeth currently resides in Clermont with her cat Toots. |
