BIOGRAPHY
Media: Oil and Acrylic painting
Artist Statement:

My artwork can best be described as "classical representational".  I do not seek to change what is, but to paint and present it as I perceive the scene to be. I strive to create a painting that shows the beauty and character of a landscape and the life which lives there. Art is a treasured gift threefold; a privilege to create it, share it and teach it.

Artist BIO:
Elisabeth Ferber is a full time artist who started painting in 1998.  She was born in Belleville, Illinois but spent most of her adult life in Central Florida.  Born of artistic parents and having spent much of her childhood in Europe, she was exposed to a very classical art background which in turn influenced her current style.
Her landscapes are painted mostly in "plein air" on location and along with photos, used to create larger paintings.
Elisabeth participates in multiple Plein air events across Florida, the US and outside of the country with other artists, most recently in New Zealand, Italy, Switzerland and Cuba.  She also strives to paint in all the U.S. National Parks.
After graduating from Liliedahl School of classical art instructor/teaching program in January 2009, she enjoys teaching beginner/intermediate art classes at Wekiva Island in Apopka, Polasek Museum, Winter Park and her studio in Mt. Dora, Florida. Elisabeth also does demos, commissions, team building classes and murals.

Elisabeth was the cover artist for Winter Park Magazine, listed in the Best of America oil artist book, paintings included in the book "Along the Wekiva" by Jim Robinson, and marketing cover artist in multiple paintouts including Wekiva Paintout, Canaveral and New Symrna beach.
